About Us

Kesan Yusuf Capraz School of Applied Sciences was established as affiliated to Trakya University with the Decree of the Council of Ministers dated on February 2, 2009 and numbered 2009/14652; the establishment decision was published in the Official Gazette dated on February 28, 2009 and numbered 27115; Prof. Dr. Ilknur KUMKALE was appointed as the Founding Director of the School on July 17, 2009.

The aim of the establishment of our school is to train qualified manpower in the fields needed by the region and our country and to provide quality education and training activities in the field of applied sciences.

Our 4-storey modern education building with a closed area of 12000 square meters was built by businessman Mr. Yusuf ÇAPRAZ on the land given by Trakya University to build a faculty building and opened in 2010.

During the preparation of our school for education, the Association for the Development and Sustenance of Higher Education was established under the chairmanship of Architect Sengul Ozcan. Through the association, the furnishing of classrooms and living spaces was completed with the support of the people of Kesan. It is possible to see the efforts of all Kesan philanthropists in our Higher School.

Our School, which can be shown as the best example of the cooperation of the University and Kesan, carries out its activities based on this understanding. Our school continues its efforts to be a successful, respected and preferred educational institution at national and international level in the fields it provides education on the basis of social benefit, cooperation and cooperation.

In our education building consisting of 3 interconnected blocks, there is a conference hall for 226 people, a library, 3 computer laboratories, 1 electronics laboratory, 1 music room, 20 classrooms, 50 teaching staff rooms, an infirmary, a canteen, a dining hall and a lift for disabled students. There are football, basketball, volleyball and tennis courts in the front garden of the school.

Our school was established in 2009 to operate in 5 departments. At the time of its establishment, each of the departments had a 1-year preparatory education.   As of 2010, preparatory education was abolished and our school continued to provide academic and practical education at the 4-year undergraduate level. At the time of its establishment, formal education was given at undergraduate level in the 5 departments listed below.
